Contraception
What are the disadvantages of a diaphragm?
The diaphragm has the problem of being easily moved if it is not placed correctly, in addition, it is difficult to insert and must be inserted every time that a person has intercourse. Another downside is that diaphragm usage has been connected to UTI's (Urinary Tract Infections). Other drawbacks include the fact that it does not give consistent protection against sexually transmitted infections. Spermicide and latex might also irritate certain women and their sexual partners.
