Sexual Dysfunction
What is Sexual Performance Anxiety?
Sexual Performance Anxiety is acute anxiety related to one's sexual performance. This tends to be worse when one is engaging with a new partner, or is new to sex, or is less confident about their body. However, it also effects a lot of people as we tend to compare ourselves to others. When one is comparing themselves to what other people say that they do, and what they see in porn movies. Sexual performance anxiety can sometimes come forward following a negative sexual episode or an experience of sexual dysfunction. Alternatively sometimes having sexual performance anxiety can trigger a sexual dysfunction such as erectile dysfunction or orgasmic disorder. Sexual psychotherapy can help with such an issue.
