What is a Microperforate Hymen?

The hymen is a remnant tissue that covers part of the opening of the vagina. A Microperforate Hymen means that the hymen has a very small hole in the middle so it makes difficult for the blood to flow out the vagina. Some syptoms are pain or bleeding during sexual intercourse, difficulties to insert/remove a tampon and periods that last more than 4/7 days.
