What is the difference between a hormonal pill and the morning after pill?

A hormonal contraceptive pill is taken daily to regulate the cycle and prevents ovulation. The morning after pill is used as emergency contraception and is taken within 3-5 days following intercourse will prevent ovulation and thus pregnancy.
