Gender
Are all gender variant individuals gay, lesbian or bisexual?
There is a common misunderstanding that gender variant individuals are gay, lesbian or bisexual, however this is not necessarily the case. This is because gay, lesbian, and bisexual identities refer to an individual’s ‘sexual orientation’ which is different than an individual’s gender identity. Sexual orientation refers to an individual’s emotional and sexual attraction which may be to members of the same or the opposite sex, or both. This has nothing to do with one's gender.
