My child asked me how babies are born, what shall I say?

This typically depends on the child's age, however you can always start by asking where they think babies come from, and follow up based on what they say. Since they are brining up the question that generally means they have heard about it somewhere, and you may need to correct some information or help them understand further. You can choose to keep it simple and tell the child that a cell grows in the mother's stomach and then comes out of the vagina when it is ready to do so. Don't make them feel embarrassed or judged when asking such a question so that they know they can approach you if they ever have any other questions.
