Disability & Sex
Should families or individauls with intellectual disabilities seek support in regards to managment of inappropriate sexual behaviour?
When it comes to sexuality and relationships, a person with an intellectual disability may require extra help. This is especially crucial for people who need a lot of help, such those who live with their parents or in supported housing, or those who need help with communication or personal care, like toileting. Whether there is inappropriate sexual behaviour or simply the need for more information and resources, seeking support could be of benefit.
