How will menopause affect my sexual activity?
Menopause affects the hormone level in women known as Estrogen. Low levels of Estrogen may affect sexual activities for women due to several reasons. Some reasons include lack of vaginal lubrication and less elasticity in the vaginal tissues. These changes will result in sexual intercourse feeling different and, at times, even painful. Some women report receiving less pleasure during sexual activity than before menopause. Water-based lubrication products made specifically for older women can enhance sexual activity with your partner by reducing discomfort during penetration. Application of such products before sex can also enhance foreplay and make your sexual experience with more enjoyable for both. Other products such as Vaginal moisturisers can help with vaginal elasticity and moisture.
