Is it true that having sex during the final weeks could induce labour?

Research is contradictory on this matter however some doctors believe that the semen induces labour, due to the presence of certain hormones called prostaglandins. Some believe that if the woman has reached full term or is over her due date the woman may engage in sex to try and induce contractions as orgasms release hormones and spur contractions
