What are kegel exercises?

Kegel exercises help strengthen and stabilise the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor may have become loose during birth.

How do to kegel exercises? Step 1: Relax your body as much as possible, especially your chest, abdomen, thighs and buttocks.

Step 2: Imagine you need to use the toilet to pass urine. Try to stop the urine mid-flow.

Step 3: Tightly squeeze your pelvic muscle for 5-10 seconds.

Step 4: Have a tiny break for around 10 seconds.

Step 5: Repeat Step 3 for ten times.

One should practice Kegel exercises three times per day. You can also download mobile apps such as Squeezy to help with such exercises or see a pelvic floor specialist.
