Why does my partner like getting choked during sex?
It is common that you and your partner might prefer different things. If there is consent involved, there is nothing wrong with it. When one is being choked the body combats this by producing certain chemicals such as dopamine and serotonin (which produce happiness). This feeling is similar to when one is drunk (i.e lightheadedness etc.); which resultantly produces a sense of enjoyment. Choking also provides the opportunity for you to take on a submissive or dominant role. Allowing your partner to choke you during sex might be a relief for you, to let go of control, or on the other hand, power might be something you long for and thus enjoy experiencing it during sex.
