Parenting & Sex
I'm not sure I know what to say to my children about sexual health as I was never really told anything by my parents myself. What should I do?
Avoiding the topic of sex and sexuality will only result in more confusion. Speak to your child and if you're not sure about something speak to a sex & relationship counsellor or a similar professional. Approach the conversation in a calm manner, ask them what they know and correct any misinformation. Provide them with information about the consequences of unsafe sex, consent and respect and positive sex expectations.
