Do I need to change my lifestyle before I get pregnant?
Having a healthy lifestyle can have a significant impact on you and your future baby. Eating healthy is very important for your health, and you need to eat various food to gain different nutritional vitamins. The food you decide to consume, and so the nutrients you have, directly affects your babies' general health and birth weight. Many people feel that they need to adopt a more healthy diet to have a safe and healthy pregnancy. A change in diet can be hard on the mother, so integrating more nutritious meals into your diet can be a way to eliminate unhealthy foods gradually. Healthy foods one should incorporate in their diet includes fresh fruits and vegetables as they have lots of vitamins; carbohydrates such as brown rice and oats can be a good source of energy; proteins such as meat, dairy and nuts, help the fetus developmentally grow; fats are beneficial to help you absorb vitamins more efficiently. One must keep in mind that following a strict diet can be very challenging at times. Other healthy behaviours that will encourage a healthy pregnancy include avoiding Alcohol, smoking, and/or drugs and incorporating exercise throughout your daily routine.
