Sexual Dysfunction
My partner never seems to be able to get an erection, am I the problem?
Many people can be concerned that the reason their partner is not getting or maintaining an erection is because they are not attractive enough to arouse their partner, their partner is having sex with someone else, or they are hiding their sexual orientation. This can be devastating to one's self esteem and their place in the relationship. It's important to remember that erectile dysfunction is a fairly common condition and that there are options if this is a consistent issue in sex. This can include seeing a doctor to make sure there are no underlying conditions causing the erectile dysfunction or seeking a sex counsellor to explore this issue further. Talk to your partner about how you're feeling. Relationship and sexual pleasure can also be causes so talking to your partner to understand the causes better is a must in this situation.
