How often should I wash my genital area whilst on my period?

It is recommended that you rinse your gential area at least twice a day when on your period. It is also acceptable to do this more often if you feel the need to. Wearing a pad can lead to heightened heat and moisture which is a breeding ground for unwanted bacteria. Washing yourself and changing your pad often is helpful.
