Orgasm
How does a woman know that she has reached orgasm?
The biological aspect of a female orgasm includes rhythmic spasms of the vaginal muscles, increased heart rate and flushing. On the other hand, the psychological aspect of an orgasm is the feeling of release of sexual energy. Some women are also able to squirt whilst orgasming. However, an orgasm may be present without squirting, and squirting may be present without orgasm.
In reality, whether a woman has experienced an orgasm is mostly a subjective experience since the biological aspect may not be present in all women during orgasm. In fact, a study by Bohlen and colleagues in 1982 explored this concept and found that some women reported that they had reached orgasm but their vaginal muscles had not spasmed.
