Genital Hygiene
Is it normal that my vaginal discharge changes colour every once in a while?
Vagincal discharge normally changes in both colour and consistency throughout your cycle. Usually the colour is white or clear and the consistency varies from thick and sticky to slippery and wet and it should not have a strong or unpleasant smell. Sometimes vaginal discharge can change colour or consistency. This is not always a cause for concern but it can indicate an infection. If you notice that your vaginal discharge has gained a strong fishy smell, it looks like cottage cheese, it is green, yellow, or frothy, or it is accompanied with pain or bleeding, then you might have an infection. This requires a doctor to diagnose for treatment so it is advised for you to seek one out.
