Can I delay my period?

It is possible to delay your period but there is no guaranteed method. It is possible if you take 2 packets of combined hormonal contraceptive pills back to back, without taking the inactive or dummy pills. This varies depending on the brand of pill you use. This method does not affect their effectiveness as contraceptives, but it does have some side effects, such as being and feeling sick and diarrhea. It's not recommended to go over 2 packs back to back, unless your doctor says it's alright. It is also possible to take a medication called norethisterone, but this requires a prescription from a doctor. Speak to your doctor for more information about delaying your periods safely.
