Can my tampon get stuck inside me?

It is indeed possible for a tampon to become stuck inside your vaginal canal. This can occur if you've left it inside for too long and it becomes compressed at the top of your vagina, leading to difficulty in finding it and removing it. It's important not to panic if this does happen - you will be able to get it out again, tampons do not get "lost" inside your vagina. If you are having trouble reaching it yourself, then you can go to a doctor or sexual health clinic and a professional there can help you remove it. Leaving a tampon inside yourself for extended periods of time can result in infection, such as toxic shock syndrome.
