How long should a menstrual cycle be?
Every menstrual cycle is different. They can be as short as 21 days or as long as 35 days. Typically, they are about 28 days long. The actual period can last from 3 days to a full 7 day week. If your period lasts longer than 7 days or they occur with less than 21 days or more than 35 days between them then you should consult with your doctor.
