Menstruation
I'm anxious about bleeding through my underwear and clothes. What can I do?
This is a worry that occurs no matter how old you are. It is important to be prepared. Wearing dark clothing can help disguise any stains until you are able to change your clothes. Having a cardigan or sweater to tie around your waist and cover your lower half can be a way to cover up until you can get somewhere private to change. Having extra sanitary items, such as extra pads or tampons, on hand is a good idea if you have overflowed. These can help ease your anxiety if you're worried about leaking happening. If it does happen and you are unprepared, then asking for help from someone is the best thing you can do. Most adult women will have extra sanitary items on hand and many would have gone through something similar in their lifetime.
