How long should I keep my sanitary products on?

This depends on how heavy your period is and what sanitary products you are using. If you have a heavy flow, then you might need to change more often. Often sanitary products are designed for different flows. Usually you should change your pad every 3-6 hours or whenever it gets full of blood. Tampons should not stay inside for more than 8 hours as this can lead to infection. Period cups can be worn for up to 9 or 12 hours or until they get full. Period panties can be worn for a full day but need to be cleaned by soaking in cold water and washing in the washing machine.
