Menstruation
I got my period for the first time and now I haven't had another cycle. Does this usually happen?
The first few years of having a period are often pretty irregular so it's normal to skip some months as your body gets used to the changes it is going through. Most periods occur every 28 days but this can vary even as you get older. As you grow up, your periods should become more regular. However, there might be some reasons as to why your period stopped, such as increased exercising or an extreme loss in weight. Pregnancy is also a possibility if you have had sex since starting your period. If you are worried, please ask a trusted adult, such as a parent, guardian, or teacher, for advice and help.
